Job summary

Our client, a dynamic financial services organisation in the luxury motor finance sector, seeks a Compliance Associate to support a broad range of regulatory and operational tasks. The role focuses on execution, documentation, and assisting with complaints and claims handling under supervision.

With 1–3 years in a legal/regulatory role, you will liaise with internal teams and external advisers, contributing to evolving compliance frameworks, and developing professionally as responsibilities grow

Qualifications

• A UK law degree or equivalent qualification; bar admission advantageous but not essential.
• 1–3 years’ experience in legal, regulatory, or compliance roles, preferably in financial services.
• Experience in motor finance or automotive sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; German language skills are an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and document management tools.
• Familiarity with complaints/claims handling, DISP, and UK consumer protection is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with contract support, complaints and claims handling, regulatory and compliance tasks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisers to advance processes.
• Support the development of internal legal and compliance frameworks under supervision.

Our client is a dynamic organisation specialising in financial services within the luxury motor finance sector.

Due to business expansion, we are seeking a Compliance Associate to support the Compliance function across a diverse range of operational, regulatory, complaints, and compliance matters.

This predominantly execution-focused role involves preparing documentation, assisting with complaint and claim handling processes, liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisors, and contributing to the continuous development of internal legal and compliance frameworks. The position operates under the guidance of the Legal & Compliance lead and does not require independent decision-making on complex legal or regulatory issues. The role presents opportunities for professional development and increased responsibility over time.

Role and Responsibilities:

You will assist the team with various compliance-related tasks, particularly in the following areas:

• Contract Support
• Complaints & Claims Support
• Regulatory & Compliance Support
• General / Operational Tasks

Qualifications, Languages and Education Requirements

• A (UK) law degree or equivalent qualification (bar admission is advantageous but not essential)
• 1–3 years’ experience in a legal, regulatory, or compliance role, preferably within financial services or a consumer-facing industry
• Experience in motor finance or the automotive sector is beneficial, though not mandatory
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential; German language skills are an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office and general document management tools
• Basic knowledge or initial exposure to:

• Complaints and claims handling procedures
• FCA Handbook, particularly DISP
• UK consumer protection legislation
• Data protection (UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018)
