BDO Regulatory Solutions are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Risk Manager to join our client, a Fintech company, based in London.

We are offering a permanent position starting soon, with an excellent day rate, employed via an Umbrella company.

About the role:

This role requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail, ensuring the compliance framework is robust and effective. You will be a key player in maintaining the commitment to exceptional client service and regulatory adherence.

As a Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operations aligned with the regulatory standards and internal policies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supplier and client onboarding: Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for suppliers and clients, ensuring compliance with all necessary requirements.
• Respond to client DD questions/RFPs: Address due diligence queries and requests for proposals from clients promptly and accurately.
• Review and update policies: Regularly assess and revise company policies to ensure they meet current regulatory standards.
• Submit FCA filings: Prepare and submit filings to the Financial Conduct Authority, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare board materials for Risk and Compliance: Develop comprehensive materials for board meetings, focusing on risk and compliance matters.
• MLRO report (with assistance): Assist in preparing the Money Laundering Reporting Officer report, ensuring thoroughness and compliance.
• Quality control transaction monitoring: Oversee transaction monitoring processes to maintain high standards of quality control.
• Conduct compliance monitoring: Implement and manage compliance monitoring activities to identify and address potential issues.
• Input on risk register: Contribute to the maintenance and updating of the risk register, ensuring all risks are accurately documented.
• Answer ad hoc R&C questions: Provide clear and informed responses to risk and compliance queries from the business and clients.
• General day-to-day compliance work: Handle all routine compliance tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
