Job description

Resourcing Consultant at The Curve Group

Our client was established in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the country. Now, more than 20 years on, they have grown to become one of the UK’s largest, independent finance houses. They have continued to deliver leading‑edge finance solutions through a unique combination of teamwork and technology.

From this continued success they are now looking to recruit a Compliance Analyst to allow them to continue their exciting growth plans.

Their aim is to take the service they offer to the next level, to push the boundaries of what’s available, and to create great customer experiences consistent with their values. Does that sound like something you’d like to be part of?

As a Compliance Analyst you will support the Compliance Department in ensuring that our client meets its regulatory, legal, and governance obligations. This role is focused on delivering day‑to‑day monitoring and quality assurance activity, helping to identify risks, ensure controls are effective, and drive improvements across the business.

Role responsibilities

Monitoring & Assurance

  • Carry out thematic monitoring reviews, file checks, and QA testing in line with the monitoring and quality assurance framework.
  • Document and escalate findings clearly, highlighting risks and recommending remedial actions.
  • Support the tracking of open actions and assist in verifying closure of remedial work.
  • Assist in preparing monitoring reports for the Compliance & Monitoring Manager.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements to the monitoring framework as well as potential topics for future thematic reviews.

Compliance Support

  • Support colleagues with regulatory queries by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Contribute to fraud prevention activities.

Governance & Reporting

  • Contribute to MI reporting for internal stakeholders, collating data on monitoring activity and compliance performance.
  • Ensure that monitoring documentation is maintained and up to date.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build knowledge of FCA regulations and assurance skills.
  • Support team initiatives to embed a strong culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in compliance, assurance or risk role within financial services.
  • Good working knowledge of FCA regulation, particularly Consumer Duty, CONC, SYSC and DISP.
  • A-Level qualifications or higher.
  • Proactive and inquisitive approach with a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
