  • Reporting & dashboards: Develop and maintain BI dashboards to clearly visualise compliance metrics, KPIs and emerging risks.
  • Regulatory coordination: Support the coordination of Requests for Information (RFIs) and external reporting, working closely with internal data owners and stakeholders.
  • Control validation: Design and deliver effective, proportionate non-compliance checks, leveraging automation and AI where appropriate.
  • Data protection support: Assist with data protection compliance, including breach investigations, data protection impact assessments and general advisory support.

You’ll have working knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI and enjoy designing reports that surface data exceptions and support automated control testing. An interest in AI and emerging technologies is a plus, particularly where they can enhance monitoring and assurance over time.

Motivated, approachable and self-sufficient, you’ll be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider team. Although this role has no direct reports, you’ll bring leadership experience and the confidence to take ownership of implementing and embedding governance, risk and compliance processes across the business.

  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills, good verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in BI tools (such as Power BI) (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • An interest in regulation and compliance
Desirable
  • Experience working in a risk and / or assurance function supporting a range of disciplines.
  • Knowledge of the Ofgem supply licence, relevant law and industry code agreements for the supply of energy.
  • Awareness, or experience of working within a 3 Lines of Defence Model (in the capacity of second line) to produce and provide assurances of risk management effectiveness.
