Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie in Glasgow is seeking a reliable, detail‑driven administrator/analyst to help safeguard client information and support confidential processes.

You will maintain access controls, support risk and compliance checks, and assist stakeholders with system questions. Full training provided in a hybrid Glasgow role.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative or analytical role.
  • Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the firm's information barrier system to ensure confidentiality obligations.
  • Grant access to confidential matters for legal and business users per client requirements.
  • Remove user access in line with recertification.
  • Maintain insider lists in compliance with market abuse regulations.
  • Conduct routine checks and audits of Risk & Compliance systems.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on procedural and system issues.

The Opportunity:

This is fantastic opportunity to join a global team and play a key role in safeguarding our clients' information in line with client expectations and our professional obligations.

The ideal candidate would be a reliable, organised, software conversant individual with good eye for detail and analytical skills. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Maintaining the firm's information barrier system to ensure compliance with confidentiality obligations.
  • Granting legal and business users access to confidential matters on a case-by-case basis in line with client requirements and conflict conditions, ensuring sensitive information is safeguarded from unauthorised access.
  • Removing user access in line with client recertification requirements.
  • Maintaining the firm's insider lists in compliance with market abuse regulations.
  • Conducting routine checks and audits of Risk & Compliance systems regularly and as needed.
  • Assisting internal stakeholders by advising on procedural and system issues and questions as they arise.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office. This is a hybrid role where, once trained, office and remote working will both be utilised.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 8.5 hours a day including an hour for lunch, between the hours of 07:00 -17:30. Shift times may vary depending on the team rota, and a later finish may be required a few times per month in order to attend team meetings.
