Job summary

Justteachers Ltd, in partnership with a specialist school in Peterborough, is recruiting a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term temporary position starting in September. The role supports pupils with autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs, in classroom and structured environments.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide 1:1 and small group support, deliver differentiated activities, aid social and communication development, and help

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or care setting desirable)
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to respond to changing needs of pupils
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

About the role:

Justteachers are working in partnership with a specialist school in Peterborough to recruit a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term, temporary position starting in September.

The setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students in both classroom and structured environments, helping to provide a safe, consistent and engaging learning experience.
This role is well-suited to individuals with prior SEN experience or those looking to build a long-term career within specialist education.
