Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Leeds (LS12 1AE) is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with complex needs in a specialist school setting. The role is a full-time, on-site contract with a start ASAP and daily pay of £100–£120.

You will provide individualised support, assist with learning, promote independence and engagement, and work as part of a wider support team. Multiple short- and long-term opportunities are available, with CPD and ongoing consultant support.

The setting is looking for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant for short and long-term opportunities, with both full-time and part-time work available. The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will provide individualised support to students with complex needs, assisting with learning, promoting independence and supporting their engagement throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs
• Experience working within an education, SEND or specialist provision setting
• The ability to provide individualised support based on students' needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider support team
