Overview

Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher passionate about supporting students with complex needs? GSL Education is seeking an experienced Complex Needs Teacher to join a dynamic and inclusive school in Redbridge. Role Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SEN team.
• Utilize specialist communication methods such as Makaton or PECs to support speech and language impairments.
• Provide pastoral care and emotional support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to monitor progress and set targets.
• Lead and support classroom staff to ensure effective student engagement.

Requirements

• Fully qualified teacher status (UK QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching students with complex needs, including PMLD and speech and language difficulties.
• Knowledge of specialist teaching strategies and communication tools like Makaton or PECs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable teaching approach.
• Updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply).
