Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Radcliffe, seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 7-17 with a range of additional needs. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting with communication strategies, sensory activities and personalised learning programmes, and supporting pupils with personal care when required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs or autism.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic about making a difference.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils with communication and sensory challenges.
• Experience in education, care, support work, health and social care, psychology or related field.
• Comfortable supporting pupils with personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs.
• Assist with communication strategies, sensory activities, and personalised learning programmes.
• Support pupils with personal care where required.
• Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual pupil needs.
