Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant in Lewisham, South East London. The role is a temporary, full-time position with Monday to Friday hours, 8:30am–3:30pm, starting ASAP in a secondary SEN school.

You will support students with high needs, including SEMH, ASD, Complex Needs, SLD and MLD, providing both classroom and 1-1 assistance in a challenging but rewarding setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN and high needs.
• Ability to work in a secondary SEN environment.
• Experience in SEN/support roles with resilience and patience.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support and 1-1 assistance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support students with SEMH, ASD and complex needs.
• Support students during lessons and transitions.

Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant - Secondary SEN School - Lewisham

Remedy are working with a large Secondary SEN school who are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with High needs, ASD, Challenging behaviour and PMLD.

The role

The role involves general classroom support as well as 1-1 support while working closely with colleagues in providing support outside of the classroom. Due to the needs of the students (SEMH, ASD, Complex Needs, SLD, MLD) it is essential that you have worked with special needs in some capacity.

Working in these schools is incredibly rewarding. You have a chance to make a real difference in these children's lives but it's not always easy! You must be resilient, patient, adaptable, enthusiastic and confident in managing challenging behaviour.
