Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking a Complex Needs Community Keyworker to support women on probation across Hampshire. Travel to multiple sites is required and a car driver is essential.

You will deliver trauma-informed, one-to-one advocacy and support to women in the community and those preparing for release from custody, addressing housing insecurity, mental health challenges, substance use and other barriers to build stability and safer lives away from the criminal justice system.

Qualifications

• Experience with women experiencing multiple and complex needs.
• Understanding of issues affecting women in the criminal justice system.
• Experience in casework, advocacy and partnership working.
• Confidence managing risk and responding to challenging situations.
• Trauma-informed, non-judgemental and empowering approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one advocacy and emotional support to women on probation.
• Complete needs and risk assessments and regularly review support plans.
• Deliver prison in-reach and release support, including meeting women at the gate.
• Support women to secure and sustain safe and appropriate accommodation.
• Work in partnership with probation, housing, social services and other agencies.
• Monitor engagement, risk and progress, escalating safeguarding concerns where required.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records in line with contractual requirements.
