Job summary

Keoghs LLP in Manchester seeks an experienced Assistant Lawyer to join the Complex Injury team, handling high-value injury claims and contributing to strategy, investigations and case management. The role offers hybrid working with one in-office day per week and exposure to diverse employer's liability, public liability and road traffic claims.

You will work under a Partner on a demanding caseload, develop technical expertise, manage stakeholders, and advance matters to hearing or settlement

Qualifications

• Strong experience handling personal injury litigation matters.
• Experience on either claimant or defendant side.
• Excellent investigation and analytical skills.
• Proactive approach and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing investigations and identifying liability and quantum issues.
• Reviewing and analysing medical, liability and quantum evidence.
• Interviewing witnesses and preparing witness statements.
• Drafting legal documents, pleadings and applications.
• Liaising with clients, insurers, experts, counsel and stakeholders.
• Attending conferences, mediations, settlements and court hearings.
• Supporting case strategy and resolution.
