Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our London City team, managing complex commercial insurance for a prestigious client base. You will lead renewal negotiations, build trusted insurer relationships, and deliver strategic risk management advice.

Based in London, you’ll work with dedicated broking teams to craft tailored insurance programmes and provide exceptional client service. Travel within the UK may be required; Chartered/CII qualifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an Account Executive or Account Director managing complex commercial insurance programmes.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products across multiple classes.
• Experience in the London Market, with understanding of insurer relationships and market dynamics.
• Candidates with existing insurer/broker relationships are advantageous.
• Pursuing or holding CII qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII) is preferred.
• Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Consultative approach to understand client challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and service excellence.
• Eligible to work in the UK and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and retain a portfolio of complex commercial clients, providing strategic insurance and risk management advice.
• Lead renewal negotiations, gather risk information and present tailored solutions.
• Build and develop strong relationships with clients, insurers and market stakeholders.
• Collaborate with broking teams to deliver placement strategies and outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio through cross-selling and new business.
• Deliver high-touch client service via regular meetings and planning discussions.
• Support clients with claims and risk management through Gallagher’s expertise.
• Handle account queries and credit control matters, escalating as needed.
• Represent Gallagher professionally within the market and support growth of London City.
