Job summary

Superior Healthcare is recruiting dedicated Support Workers to join a specialist care package for a young man living in Faversham. This role focuses on weekends, activity engagement, and delivering person-centred care in a supportive home environment.

You'll work with a team to provide complex care interventions, including epilepsy management, while following detailed care plans and maintaining high standards of safety and compassion.

Qualifications

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum 6 months of UK-based care experience.
  • Valid UK Manual driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex care interventions such as medication management and epilepsy management.
  • Communicate clearly with the client and use aids where necessary.
  • Refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care.
  • Advocate for the client in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.

Superior Healthcare is recruiting dedicated Support Workers to join a specialist care package supporting a young man living in Faversham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, engaging, and helping individuals thrive in a fun and supportive environment and looking for Weekends Only.

About the Client

Our client is a young man who lives at home and has diagnoses including:

  • Dravet Syndrome
  • Osteoporosis
  • Postural scoliosis (with corrective surgery)
  • Developmental delays

He has a fantastic sense of humour and enjoys a wide range of activities, including:

  • Gardening
  • Football
  • Walking
  • Watching The Wiggles and CBeebies
  • Role play
  • Fire engines
  • Reading and writing
  • Puzzles and games
  • Playing with toys and imaginative activities

To provide the best possible support, we are particularly interested in applicants with experience working in day care settings, schools, paediatric care, or supporting individuals with delayed emotional processing, enabling them to help the client develop self-regulation skills and enjoy meaningful daily activities.

About the Role

This is a highly rewarding position where no two days are the same. Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, imaginative, and willing to actively participate in the client’s hobbies and interests while delivering person-centred support.

Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, post-surgical needs, learning disabilities, or behaviours of concern is desirable; however, full training and ongoing clinical support will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person‑centred care is provided.
  • To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
  • A minimum of 6 months of UK-based care experience.
  • Valid UK Manual driving License and access to a vehicle for work.
