Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Complex Care Support Worker to deliver compassionate, person-centred care in clients’ own homes across the West Midlands. You’ll enable safe, comfortable and independent living by following tailored care plans and working with clinical teams.

Join a dedicated team focused on stability and quality outcomes, with specialist training and flexible shifts including day and night options. A UK driving licence is essential to access client sites and visits.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required to visit clients’ homes
• Experience in complex care or similar settings is preferred
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential
• Calm, compassionate and professional approach to care delivery
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care as a core value
• Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification (or above) desirable

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal care and daily living support to clients in their own homes
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing for each client
• Follow personalised care plans and goals for each individual
• Provide reassurance and continuity for families and care teams
• Support existing care teams and model best practice in daily care
• Communicate effectively with Care Managers and clinical professionals
• Assist with medication, equipment and care supplies where required

What You’ll Be Doing

Specialist Clinical Training Included

• Tracheostomy care, suction, and tube changes
• Blood glucose monitoring (BGM)
• Cough assist and nebulisers
• Injections and insulin administration
• Enteral feeding and medication
• Invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Oral suction and oxygen administration
• Catheter maintenance solutions
• Neurogenic bowel management
• Clinical observations

Flexibility That Works for You

• Pay rate up to £15 per hour
• Zero-hours contract initially, with contracted hours discussed after 3 successful months
• Various 12-hour day and night shifts available
• Ad hoc assignments depending on service needs
• Live-out shifts available, with accommodation provided where travel is not practical
• Some unsociable hours may be required

This role will mainly cover packages across the West Midlands, although occasional travel outside the area may be required. Where same-day travel is unreasonable, accommodation will be provided.
