Job summary

SeeMeHired.com seeks an experienced Complex Care Nurse to support children and adults with intricate health needs in their homes and community settings. The role involves delivering safe, person-centred nursing care while supervising Healthcare Assistants to maintain high standards of care.

You will work within an established care package, managing tracheostomy and chest/respiratory care, insulin and gastrostomy support, and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration
• Post‑registration experience in complex care/community/acute settings
• Experience with tracheostomy and complex respiratory needs
• Gastrostomy/enteral feeding and medication administration
• Epilepsy/seizure management
• Experience with significant physical disabilities and moving/handling
• Strong clinical assessment and deterioration recognition
• Independent work in community settings
• Excellent communication and clinical documentation
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Delivering safe, effective and person-centred nursing care to individuals with complex health needs
• Managing and monitoring tracheostomy care, including airway management
• Providing chest management and respiratory support
• Managing epilepsy and complex seizure presentations
• Supporting insulin-dependent diabetes management
• Managing gastrostomy feeding, hydration and medication administration
• Safely administering and monitoring prescribed medications
• Supporting individuals who are nil by mouth
• Providing safe moving and handling support
• Monitoring for changes or deterioration and escalating concerns
• Following care plans, risk assessments and advanced care plans
• Maintaining professional clinical documentation
• Providing clinical guidance to Healthcare Assistants
• Working with families and multidisciplinary teams for continuity of care
• Maintaining safeguarding, infection prevention and governance
