Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group seeks two Complex Care Learning Support Practitioners for EKC Broadstairs College. You will assist a student with complex medical needs, including personal care and medication, and work 2:1 to promote learning and inclusion inside and outside the classroom.

We value highly organized, friendly staff who can adapt in a small, fast-paced environment. Full-time hours, 37 per week, with a contract ending 31 July 2027; salary £23,089 per year including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with complex and high-level needs.
• Background in SEN and PMLD is desirable.
• Strong communication with colleagues and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support for a student with complex medical needs, including personal care and medication.
• Assist students with daily routines, promoting dignity and independence.
• Deliver tailored programmes including SALT and social communication activities.
• Keep accurate records and safeguard compliance.
• Work with Class Tutor and staff in small groups or 2:1 settings.
• Support learning in classroom and community environments.
