Job summary

Advantage Healthcare London is seeking caring colleagues to join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child with complex medical needs in Epsom. You will provide specialist care and support daily living tasks, enabling the child to engage in a range of activities.

You will work under an individualised care plan, including tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding, and safe moving and handling, with regular supervision and clinical support from a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex care setting.
• Experience in moving and handling.
• Experience in tracheostomy & PEG care.
• Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location.

Responsibilities

• Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child to reach his full potential.
• Provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs, supporting daily living, light domestic tasks, and a range of social and sensory activities, including messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos.
• Care will be delivered in line with an individualised care plan and includes tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding for hydration, and specialist moving and handling.
• You will be fully supported by the Advantage Healthcare London branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse.
