Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of City and County Healthcare Group, invites applications for a driver-supported overnight carer in Ockley. You will provide dedicated care to a child with CHARGE syndrome, following the care plan and ensuring comfort and safety during the night.

You’ll work with a registered nurse and receive regular supervision and team meetings. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential to attend shifts and coordinate care as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Access to own vehicle required to attend shifts and coordinate care.
• Willingness to provide overnight care as per the care plan.

Responsibilities

• Deliver overnight care to a child according to the care plan.
• Support ventilation, PEG feeds, hydration and oxygen administration as required.
• Work with a registered nurse and attend supervision meetings.

The client has CHARGE syndrome and due to this the client has a multitude of impairments where you will deliver overnight care in line with the care plan which includes, care of the ventilated child, PEG feeds via mini-button for medication, hydration and nutrients, oral suctioning and oxygen administration.

You will be supported by Advantage Healthcare London branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our client’s care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.
