About Prestige Nursing & Care Plymouth – Proud to be rated ‘Outstanding’ with the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

Here at Prestige Nursing & Care Plymouth the most important factor in everything we do is that the people we support, and our staff team, are happy and safe. We are a friendly and supportive team with quality at the forefront of everything we do and most importantly, we care as much as you.

What our client is looking for

We are seeking a motivated diligent individual who has previous care experience and is looking for a new challenge. This is a very privileged role and one that doesn’t come up often; supporting a very amazing individual in their own home. Previous experience caring for someone with a Spinal Cord Injury would be great but isn’t essential. The purpose of the support is to assist this person to remain as independent as possible – it includes day cover for some days to support with personal care, to drive the individual to work and to assist with some household tasks too. Part of this role also includes sleep in night duties to assist the person back to bed and then to sleep over incase needed.

Yes – due to the duties required in this role previous experience is required, ideally looking after people with spinal injuries.

Your role will include

  • Personal care
  • Administration of medication
  • Shopping
  • Accompanying people to attend appointments
  • Light housework tasks
  • Companionship
  • Encouraging Fluids and Nutrition
  • Supporting clients with admin tasks

What we offer:

  • A variety of shifts to suit your lifestyle
  • You will be paid the National Minimum Wage for all attended training sessions and shadow shifts.
  • Work with our own clients, no agency work.
  • Blue light card
  • Free DBS check
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity and Adoption schemes
  • Continued professional development to support you & your career
  • Weekly Pay
  • Holiday Pay
  • Refer a friend with the Care Friends mobile app and earn extra money – T&C’s apply
  • Employee Assistance line – available 24/7 and fully confidential for our staff
  • Support from your local branch team and out of hours support.

In line with CQC & Care Inspectorate regulations, we require and will undertake Enhanced DBS/PVG, Right to Work, Reference and Employment History checks in line with Government guidelines for this role and safer recruitment best practice. Whilst we endeavour to keep the recruitment process as short as possible, due to the nature of these important checks there may be extension to timelines. All our clients are equally entitled to have their needs met in a safe, fair and balanced way. Prestige Nursing & Care colleagues are responsible for promoting Equal Opportunities for all and for challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any client or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, identity or any other perceived difference.

As a Company we are unable to provide Sponsorship for overseas candidates. Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. It is a requirement to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months of being in the UK if you have lived outside of the UK for longer than a year in the last 5 years.
