Job Summary

Complex Care Assistant – Harlow. Two positions available. 24 hours per week, zero‑hour contract. Shift pattern: days, with flexible availability from Monday to Sunday 8am‑8pm. Driving required; will support client in attending appointments and activities using a wheelchair (WAV). Dog in the home – must be comfortable around pets (friendly Labrador). Pay: £17.10 per day Monday to Friday, £19.10 per day Saturdays & Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal and domestic care to a male client living with a brain injury and cognitive impairment.
• Support mobility and repositioning using specialist equipment including a ceiling track hoist and wheelchair.
• Assist with daily activities, leisure and socialisation, including gaming, family visits and pub outings.
• Safely drive the client to appointments and community activities.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and person‑centred care.
• Maintain accurate care records and report incidents.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic care experience – preferred. Complex care experience desirable; full training will be provided.
• Comfortable with caring for a client with a large dog.
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, flexibility and emotional resilience.
• Willingness to learn new skills and receive up‑skilling opportunities.
