Job summary

CCH is seeking a Complex Care Assistant to support a 2-year-old child with hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy in the family home in Blindley Heath. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care with compassion, clinical accuracy and resilience.

The role requires paediatric care experience, ability to manage medications, and safe moving/handling. Full-time hours, on-site with a large dog on the premises (dog secured during shifts).

Qualifications

• Experience in paediatrics.
• PEG feeding.
• Administering medication.
• Moving & handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support a 2-year-old child with hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy.
• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to support neurological and developmental needs.
• Work with a family and ensure safety with a large dog present on site.

What you'll do

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing skills and join our team as a Complex Care Assistant supporting a 2-year-old child living with hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy. In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to support her neurological and developmental needs, while bringing compassion, emotional awareness, clinical accuracy and resilience to the family home environment. We are seeking someone to join our established care team who is committed to delivering safe, consistent and nurturing support. Please note that the family home has a large dog on the premises; however, the dog will be safely secured in a separate room throughout your shift.
