Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Accountant with 2-4 years post-qual experience to own accounting for payroll, bonuses, pensions and share-based payments.

You will lead month-end close, prepare journals and reconciliations, and provide reporting and financial analysis to HR, Payroll, FP&A and external auditors.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, strong Excel skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across Finance and HR in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 2-4 years post-qual ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong post-qualified experience in financial control, management accounting or financial reporting.
• Experience accounting for payroll, bonus, pension, share-based payments or other employee benefit arrangements.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS; IAS 19 / IFRS 2 knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own compensation and benefits accounting including payroll, bonuses, pensions and share-based payments.
• Prepare monthly journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions for compensation and benefits.
• Lead month-end close activities and reconciliations for payroll and benefits.
• Provide analysis, reporting and advisory to stakeholders across HR, Finance and external auditors.
