Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Accountant to own the accounting, reporting and control of employee compensation and benefits across the Group. You will ensure payroll-related costs, bonuses, pensions, share-based payments and other benefits are recorded accurately and reported on time.

Working with Finance, HR, Payroll, Tax and external auditors, the role provides strong financial control and analysis, supporting the business with accounting advice and clear reporting.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in financial control and reporting.
  • Experience in payroll, bonuses, pensions, share-based payments or other employee benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Own the compensation and benefits accounting, including payroll, bonuses, commissions, pensions and share-based payments.
  • Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions for compensation and benefits.
  • Calculate and challenge incentive accruals; ensure alignment with latest business expectations.
  • Support IFRS disclosures for share-based payments and long-term incentives.
  • Maintain accounting documentation and ensure consistency with Group policies.
  • Collaborate with HR to deliver the Directors Remuneration Report section of the Annual Report.
  • Lead month-end close activities for compensation and benefits.
