Job summary

The Salvation Army in Bristol is recruiting an Assistant Support Worker for Logos House, a short-stay lifehouse serving homeless individuals. You will join the Support Team to empower clients to achieve long-term goals and perform daily administrative and reception duties to ensure smooth operation.

Direct experience with homelessness is not mandatory; however, you must demonstrate understanding, motivation, and a commitment to the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications

• Willingness and motivation to engage with homeless clients
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving to benefit colleagues and clients
• Understanding of working in a psychologically informed way
• Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload
• Good verbal and written communication skills and IT proficiency (Microsoft)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Support Team with day-to-day activities and reception duties.
• Support residents to move on and achieve long-term goals.
• Complete administration tasks to support operation of Logos House.
