Avenues Group is hiring a Part Time Support Worker in Shrewsbury to assist a gentleman in his home. The role involves day and night shifts across a 7-day week, focusing on daily living, social activities, personal care and community engagement.

You will need to be calm and reassuring, able to connect over interests like 80s culture, cafes and walks. Driving licence and access to a car are beneficial; sleep-in shifts may be required, with pro rata salary of £25,845 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or similar setting.
• Ability to stay calm when the person is anxious.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
• Flexible to work 14-hour shifts across 7 days.

Responsabilités

• Support the person with day-to-day living activities and community engagement.
• Assist with social activities and connecting with family and friends.
• Support management of finances for the person.
• Keep the home clean, shop for essentials, and provide personal care.
