Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Sous Chef for Milton Court Care Home in Kents Hill, Milton Keynes. You will support the Head Chef in leading a culinary team to deliver a nutritionally balanced, high-quality service within budget.

The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ or equivalent, and have at least 1 year catering experience, with a commitment to compassionate, high-standard resident dining. DBS check and UK work eligibility are required.

• Ability to adapt to cover a range of duties on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in leading a culinary team and ensuring nutritionally balanced menus.
• Prepare modified diets according to IDDSI guidance.
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide training to junior team members.
• Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are met.
