Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Tameside area from September 2026. This full-time, long-term role supports children with SEND to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Experience with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to learning and wellbeing.
• Confidence delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils in and out of class.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for making a positive difference in children's education.

Responsibilities

• Work with class teachers and SEND team to provide tailored support.
• Deliver one-to-one support and assist small-group work.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies to boost pupil progress and wellbeing.
