Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a Complex Health Needs SEN Teaching Assistant in Merton. You will support pupils aged 3–19 with severe and complex learning difficulties, physical and sensory disabilities, autism and PMLD in a specialist SEN school.

Role involves one-to-one and small-group support, personal care, following healthcare plans and working with healthcare professionals to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with complex needs (SEN).
• Experience with PMLD and complex healthcare support is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a collaborative school and care setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support throughout the school day.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing and toileting as required.
• Follow individual healthcare plans and established care procedures.
• Support pupils with complex health needs under guidance and training.
• Assist with safe positioning, mobility and physical support as trained.
• Help pupils access learning activities, communication opportunities and sensory experiences.
• Monitor pupils' wellbeing and report concerns promptly to staff.
• Promote pupils' independence, dignity, safety and emotional wellbeing.
