Cover People is recruiting a Personal Care Assistant to work in a Manchester secondary school, supporting pupils who require assistance with personal care and daily activities throughout the school day.

This role suits a compassionate, patient and reliable individual who understands the importance of maintaining pupils' dignity, privacy and independence while providing practical support tailored to their needs.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care or supporting individuals with additional needs.
• A patient, empathetic and respectful approach.
• Understanding the importance of dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• The ability to follow care plans and established procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A calm and professional manner.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsabilités

• Providing personal care, including toileting, hygiene and changing where necessary.
• Supporting pupils with their daily routines while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Assisting pupils with mobility and movement around the school where required.
• Helping pupils access lessons, activities and school facilities.
• Encouraging independence wherever possible.
• Following individual care plans and the school's safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting pupils' comfort, wellbeing and safety throughout the day.
• Communicating effectively with teachers and other support staff.
