Rushden Medical Centre in the United Kingdom is seeking a Phlebotomist to support patient care across three local practices. The role focuses on safe blood collection, correct labeling, and timely sample handling in line with practice protocols.
You will work with the clinical team to manage patient flow, maintain infection control, and record results in SystemOne. Experience in GP settings, GCSE level education, and venepuncture training are essential.
A phlebotomist plays a key part in the smooth running of patient care. Their primary role is to collect blood samples safely, accurately, and with as much comfort as possible for the patient. In many practices, phlebotomists support the clinical team by spotting issues that may need clinical attention, such as difficulties finding a vein or unexpected symptoms during a procedure.
