Job summary

GCIL South Lanarkshire is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for Evan, an active 11-year-old, at home and in the community. The role involves personal care, supervising toilet visits, hand washing, meals, and accompanying him to activities while ensuring safety and engagement.

You will need to drive your own vehicle (a mileage allowance is provided) and bring patience, calmness, and good communication skills to help Evan enjoy his

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, ASN, care home, or nursing settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Calm, patient and proactive approach to care.
• Willing to drive and use own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one personal care at home and in the community.
• Assist with toilet visits and hand washing.
• Help prepare meals or snacks as needed.
• Accompany Evan to activities and keep him safe.
• Support Evan's social engagement and independence.
