Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a Personal Assistant / Support Worker in the Hexham area to provide practical, motivational support to a young man living in Northumberland. This role focuses on routines, independence and wellbeing, with flexible 6-hour weekly shifts and a competitive hourly rate.

The successful candidate will be patient, reliable and a good listener, able to work collaboratively and respectfully. Driving may be beneficial for community activities.

Qualifications

• Reliable, patient and encouraging.
• Good listener with strong communication skills.
• Practical, organized and able to provide clear guidance.
• Understanding of ADHD and/or autism.
• Comfortable providing support at home and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support with everyday tasks and routines to promote independence.
• Assist with household tasks, paperwork and administration as needed.
• Encourage participation in social and leisure activities and community engagement.
• Help build confidence and independence while safeguarding wellbeing.
