Job summary

Disability North in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a compassionate personal assistant to support Zohan in accessing his community and enjoying activities. The role includes personal care, dressing, feeding assistance (PEG), showering, and promoting independence during outings.

Applicants must be able to manoeuvre a wheelchair, hold a Full UK Licence with business insurance, and be a driver. Hours are 6.5 per week term time, 20 per week holidays, with extra short-term hours to discuss.

Qualifications

• Experience as a personal assistant is desirable.
• Ability to assist with dressing, feeding (PEG), and showering.
• Must be able to manoeuvre a wheelchair and support community access.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accessing the community and activities (swimming, soft play).
• Provide personal care, dressing/undressing, feeding support (PEG).
• Promote independence and safety during outings.
