Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant (Relief) to transport patients who are frail or require specialist assistance to and from appointments in Watford and surrounding areas.

You will work in a two-person team or alone, must hold a full UK manual car driving licence with at least one year's driving experience. Training will be provided via a three-week paid course – attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• You need a full UK manual car driving licence with at least one year of driving experience.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is desirable.
• Compliance with pre-employment checks and ongoing training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences.
• Work in a two-person team or independently to carry out duties in various vehicle types.
• Attend a three-week paid training course and complete all necessary pre-employment checks.
