Job summary

Tapping House is a leading palliative care charity in Norfolk, providing inpatient, rehabilitative and bereavement services. The Band 5 nurse role involves assessing and developing intervention plans, supporting patients and families, and ensuring effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.

This permanent, full-time/part-time post offers opportunities to grow under Band 6/7 supervision, with no visa sponsorship available. Salary range £31,049–£37,802 per year, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of professional responsibilities.
• Current practical experience in a clinical environment.
• Knowledge of current palliative care issues.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills.
• Competent with medicines administration and syringe driver use.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care reflecting Hospice values.
• Provide direct nursing care in a person-centred way.
• Maintain documentation accurately and reflect interventions.
• Include family in guiding care wherever possible.
• Mentor and support new staff and participate in MDTs.
