Job summary

Lancashire Independent Living Service is seeking a Personal Assistant in the Tarleton area to support a young man with autism and anxiety. You will provide companionship, reassurance and help build confidence for independent social and leisure activities.

No personal care is required; a calm, patient and friendly approach is essential as he can be anxious when leaving the house, with interests in woodwork, photography and baking.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety.
• Provide companionship to build confidence.
• Calm, patient attitude and reassurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to build confidence and promote independence.
• Assist access to community and social/leisure activities.
• Share interests in woodwork, photography and baking when appropriate.
