Job summary

Swansea City Council is hiring a Social Services Personal Assistant to support a 6-year-old girl with ASD and complex needs at home. The role includes short daily visits, driving to local activities, and sharing play and learning experiences in a safe, supportive way.

Hours are 4 hours per week, plus 8 hours during school holidays. The role requires a clean driving licence, reliability, patience, and the willingness to undertake relevant training. DBS check funded by the council.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs.
• Willing to undertake relevant training.
• Patient, calm and reliable.
• Fun, energetic and able to engage a child.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, supportive care at the child’s home.
• Take child to activities in the local community.
• Supervise and ensure safety during outings.
