Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support a wonderful 8-year-old girl. The role is 6 hours per week, mainly evenings and weekends, at £15 per hour, with expenses paid by the employer.

You will provide one-to-one support in the community, promoting her independence and participation in activities she loves. The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and enthusiastic, comfortable joining in play, and able to supervise a child with

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or individuals with disabilities is desirable but not essential, as the right attitude, patience, and willingness to learn are most important.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in the community to help her enjoy fun, meaningful activities.
• Encourage independence where appropriate and help her take part in activities she loves.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing given her visual impairment and limited awareness of danger.
