Job summary

Amica Care is opening Greenland's Meadow, a brand-new care home in Taunton, in September 2026. We are seeking compassionate Care Assistants (Nights) to join our team and help shape a warm, welcoming home for our first residents.

You will support residents with daily routines, promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing, while working as part of a caring team. Previous care experience is welcome, and we value kindness, reliability and good communication.

Qualifications

• Caring, reliable and committed to making a positive difference.
• Kind and respectful approach with good communication.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Previous experience in care welcome.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily routines reflecting personal needs, choices and routines.
• Encourage independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Build warm, positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and visiting professionals.
• Notice changes and report to the team to ensure appropriate support.
• Keep clear care records and communicate well with colleagues for consistent, high-quality care.
• Work safely and follow safeguarding, infection control and wellbeing guidance.
• Be part of a friendly team and help create a home where residents feel comfortable and cared for.
