Job summary

Amica Care Trust in Taunton announces opening of Greenland's Meadow care home and seeks compassionate Care Assistants (Days) to join the team with first residents arriving soon. You will support daily routines, promote independence and wellbeing, and help create a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe and valued.

• Noticing the small things that matter and sharing any changes or concerns with the team, so residents receive the right support.
• Keeping clear care records and communicating well with colleagues to help provide consistent, high-quality care.
• Working safely and thoughtfully, following guidance around safeguarding, infection prevention, confidentiality and wellbeing.
• Being part of a friendly team and helping to create a home where residents feel comfortable, respected and cared for.

Amica Care is excited to be opening our brand - new Care home, Greenland's Meadow in September 2026! We are ready to start looking for compassionate Care Assistants (Days) to join ourteam and support our very first residents. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a warm, welcoming home where residents feel safe, valued and supported.

The role:

In this role, you will support residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing. Working as part of a caring and supportive team, you will provide person-centred care and help create positive experiences for residents every day.

Various shifts available inclusive of the requirement to work alternate weekends.

You will be caring, reliable and committed to making a positive difference to residents' lives. You will bring a kind and respectful approach, good communication skills and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in care is welcome, but what matters most is your passion for supporting people and working well as part of a team.
