Job summary

Look Ahead is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Hackney-based team. You will build supportive relationships and promote a positive, safe home environment for adults with mental health needs.

Role requires flexibility, resilience, and a calm, organised approach. Full training and development are offered, with strong emphasis on safeguarding and inclusive practice in a CQC-regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or social care experience.
• Desirable: Mental health experience.
• Desirable: Experience in a CQC registered care setting.

Responsibilities

• Builds supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creates a positive atmosphere in the home.
• Follow lone working protocols and maintain health and safety awareness for self, colleagues and customers.
• Support customers to maintain a healthy and clean living environment and assist with domestic tasks.
• Provide day-time support to customers experiencing mental health difficulties and seek appropriate support.
• Assist with daily living activities and practical tasks as needed.
• Assist customers with all domestic tasks to ensure high quality accommodation.
• Support customers in the community and engage with the local area.
