Look Ahead Care, Support and Housing Ltd. in Hackney is seeking a kind, organized and resilient Support Worker to join our Mental Health Social Care Services.

You will build trusting relationships with customers, support daily living, and help maintain a safe, clean home environment. The role includes varied shift patterns (early, late, sleep) and requires flexibility, teamwork and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or experience in social care/charity sector.
• Experience working in mental health.
• Experience working in a CQC registered care setting.
• Experience delivering personal care / assistance.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere in the home.
• Follow lone working protocols and maintain health and safety awareness for self, colleagues and customers.
• Support customers to maintain a healthy and clean living environment, assisting to keep living areas clean and safe from hazards.
• Provide day-time support to customers experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.
• Assist with daily living activities and practical support as required.
