Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke is seeking a compassionate Care & Support Worker to join our mental health team in Kewstoke, near Weston-super-Mare. The role involves supporting service users with day-to-day needs, emotional wellbeing and recovery within a therapeutic environment.

You will work 12-hour shifts on a mix of days and nights, collaborating with nurses and therapists to ensure safe, respectful care and to promote independence and wellbeing for service users.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or healthcare is helpful but values and commitment to outstanding care matter most.
• Confident working in a mental health care environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care using a flexible and person-centred approach.
• Provide physical and emotional support to people in our care.
• Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with service users.
• Learn about each individual's needs and support them in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical, welfare and personal support needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
