Job summary

Abbots Care is seeking a warm, compassionate Live-In Carer to support Shirley, a sociable 92-year-old in her own home in Stapleford, Hertfordshire.

The role focuses on companionship, daily routines, personal care, mobility support, meals, medication assistance, light housekeeping and errands, with opportunities to enjoy Shirley's music and garden together. A driver with a UK licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Warm, compassionate Live-In Carer with experience caring for the elderly.
• Able to listen to concerns and build Shirley's confidence.
• Driver with full UK licence and own vehicle is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Support daily routines, personal care and mobility.
• Assist with meals, medication, and light housekeeping.
• Support shopping, errands, and Shirley's outings when appropriate.
• Encourage Shirley to enjoy music and the garden, monitor wellbeing.
