Job summary

Medicare People Limited is seeking a dedicated Live-in Care Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Pulborough. You will provide one-to-one support, personal care, companionship, and mobility assistance to clients in their own homes, with ongoing guidance from our care team.

We offer live-in placements, flexible schedules from 4 days to 8 weeks, and a supportive culture. Benefits include free accommodation, a food budget, and enhanced pay for bank holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months UK care experience.
• Patient and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working independently and using initiative.
• Experience helping people stay independent.
• Reliability and a positive work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to different clients and care needs.
• Passion for providing outstanding care.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Medication administration experience welcomed; qualifications beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs.
• Provide companionship and build trusted relationships.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Support safe mobility and moving and handling.
• Prepare meals and drinks throughout the day.
• Administer medication according to care plans.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and household tasks.
• Support clients with shopping and prescription collection.
• Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing.
• Work alongside families and healthcare professionals.
• Keep care documentation accurate and up to date.
• Help clients maintain dignity, independence and choice.
