Job summary

Clare House Primary School in Greater London is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to provide targeted support for a child with learning and language delays. You will work as a consistent key adult to foster engagement and independence, using strategies to scaffold participation and adapt activities under the supervision of teaching staff.

You will assist with planning, record-keeping, and supporting the curriculum, ensuring inclusive practice and a safe, stimulating classroom

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with learning and language delays using communication strategies and adapted learning approaches.
• Ability to act as a consistent key adult to foster engagement, independence and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils, including those with SEN, to ensure safety and engagement.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and promote inclusion.
• Assist with planning and delivering learning activities and monitor pupil progress.
• Maintain accurate records and observations to maximise learning.
• Provide clerical and administrative support as required.
• Assist with managing pupil behaviour and contribute to behaviour plans.
