Job summary

Prime Life is seeking a Laundry Assistant for a caregiving home in Louth, Lincolnshire, based at Fir Close. The role supports 34 residents with a range of age-related, physical and mental health conditions, requiring patience and respect for individual abilities.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Prior laundry experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Process residents' personal clothing and household laundry to a high standard.
• Ensure thermal disinfection procedures are followed and infection control adhered.
• Iron/press items to a high standard.
• Check items for wear and report issues to Hotel Services Manager/Care Home Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry, equipment and linen cupboards; manage stock levels.
• Remain professional with residents, colleagues, visitors and external professionals.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report risks to the Manager.
• Perform other duties as required by the Manager.
