Job summary

Akari Care is seeking a Kitchen/Catering Assistant to support the kitchen team in a busy care home in the United Kingdom. You will work with the Cook to ensure smooth kitchen operations, menu planning, plating, and trolley setup, while delivering a high standard of personal care and attention to residents.

You will be mindful of cultural needs, help provide a personalised service, and contribute to an engaging, respectful community for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within similar environment in care settings.
• Kitchen and food preparation experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Caring nature with personal approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the kitchen with the Cook and catering team.
• Create menus, plating up, and arranging trolleys for residents.
• Ensure mealtimes are smooth and that residents feel supported and cared for.
• Be mindful of residents' religious and cultural meal preferences and provide personalised service.
