Akari Care Limited is seeking a Kitchen / Catering Assistant to support the busy care home catering team. You will work with the Cook to ensure smooth kitchen operations, plan menus, plate meals, and arrange serving trollies while considering residents’ individual cultural and religious needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment
• Kitchen and food preparation experience
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
• Caring, personal approach and good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth running of kitchen processes
• Create menus and plating for residents
• Arrange trollies and support the Cook and catering team
• Ensure meals respect residents' religious and cultural backgrounds and provide personalised service
• Support residents with a high level of care during meals
